Community Involvement Day

June 2 was a busy day at the Legends Community Garden. Agilec sent 5 team members to contribute time working in the garden. Every year on June 2, the organization holds a "Turning the Tables on Hunger" day. On this day, employees, province wide, help out in the community donating their time and elbow grease! The team from Agilec helped create our new Children's Garden and remodel our community garden plot, they weeded the pollinator garden and helped shovel compost. A ton of work was accomplished! We couldn't have done it without their help! Thanks for coming to play in the dirt with Julie.  Thank you so much!!!

A special thanks to Miller who graciously donated a huge truckload of compost for our plots. Thanks to Bill who delivered the compost and to Kerry for organizing the drop off. We are so fortunate to have such amazing community contributors in the Durham region!
